Wilkinsburg Youth Meal Partnership Program

A helper at the Wilkinsburg Boys & Girls Club Helps Serve Meals to Her Peers

WCM’s Youth Meal Partnership program partners with several local agencies to provide nutritious meals to youth in after-school, summer, and developmental health programs. Partner agencies in 2013 were the Boys and Girls Club of Wilkinsburg (summer and after-school programs) and the PLEA School (Programs for Living, Education and Advocacy – a school and partial hospital for children with developmental disabilities).

In 2013, WCM served about 15,000 meals to nearly 300 Wilkinsburg youth.

The Youth Meal Partnership provides a way for partner agencies to provide nutritional meals at no cost to youth in their programs.  Kids are fed during programs that are educational and provide fun activities and adult supervision.

We welcome you to learn more about our programs – Urban Survival, and the Youth Meal Partnership – as well as get involved in the Wilkinsburg community by volunteering and/or making a donation.

We appreciate your support and interest in making our community a better place to live, work, pray, and play.
